Ryan Adams' Cover Of Taylor Swift's '1989' Album Is Pretty Damn Good
Ever since I got wind of Ryan Adams doing a cover of Taylor Swift's 1989, I've been dying to listen to the full album. I started following Ryan Adams when he was still at Whiskeytown, and 'Heartbreaker' and 'Gold' are still two of my favourite singer-songwriter albums of all time. I remember watching Ryan Adams crowd surf in a dingy venue in London's Camden Town. That remains one of the best concert memories of my student days. The concert was so good I contemplated taking a train to Cambridge to watch him again, but Adams broke his arm when he pulled the same stunt a couple of days later and had to cancel the tour. Legend. Ryan Adams has been prolific over the last decade, churning out an album or two practically every year. Some albums are better than others (don't think anyone's going to miss Demolition), but thankfully 1989 is a keeper and worth the wait. Below, listen to Adams’ take on “Bad Blood”. 1989 is now available for streaming on Spotify.
